Weddington Ryan Goldstein delivered the crushing tackle of the night when the senior linebacker, keying on the Southeast Guilford running back, lowered his pads and drove the RB off his feet and into cold, muddy turf of Kenan Stadium. Nothing like getting your signature hit in your final game on the biggest stage of your high school career. Way to go #10!
Weddington defeated Southeast Guilford, 27-14 to capture the school's second 3AA state championship in three years.
The Goldstein hit was reminiscent of Chase Randolph's sack of Eastern Guilford's QB in the 2016 Weddington's 3AA Championship game.
