Jaleel McLaughlin is tearing it up at NCAA Division II Notre Dame College.

Wait a minute, that’s an understatement. The former Forest Hills Yellow Jacket (Class of '18) running back is currently the nation’s leading rusher at every collegiate level.

I'm pretty confident this is the first time a Union County high school football player has ever led the entire country in any statistical category.

It’s been an incredible ride for the freshman out of Marshville, North Carolina.

After graduation in early June, McLaughlin graduated from Forest Hills High School and  enrolled at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio where he has already set records at his school and conference (Mount East.)

In his freshman debut, the 5-foot-9, 173-pound back rushed for a school record 302 yards on 22 carries.

This past Saturday, McLaughlin rushed 26 times for 340 yards and three touchdowns in only three quarters of play, the second-most yards in Mount East Conference history.

It's hard to believe that Jaleel McLaughlin escaped the eyes of North Carolina collegiate coaches and recruiters.

In the meantime, check out Jaleel's full numbers below and the great interview below that- so humble and unselfish.
