Sun Valley defeated Porter Ridge 38-21 to extend their winning streak against their rivals to six games dating back to 2013.

Senior Sam Howell, a Florida State commit, amassed over 500 yards of total offense throwing three touchdowns and rushing for one score.

Gavin Blackwell, the 5-foot-11, 170-pound sophomore wide receiver hauled in four catches for 188 yards and three TDs.

The young Spartan offensive line did a fantastic job on run blocking and pass protection all night against a physical Porter Ridge defensive line.

Defensively, the Spartans were fast and quick to the ball carrier, snuffing out most plays without yielding significant gains, holding the Pirates to 289 yards of total offense.

Sun Valley takes their 3-0 record to Olympic (1-3) on Friday night.

Porter Ridge (2-2) is on a bye week.
