The Mavs’ backup quarterback junior Jake Cameron also got in on the action connecting on his only pass of the night- a 21-yard touchdown pass to Carson Cross who made a beautiful leaping catch in the end zone.
Cameron finished his night going 1-for-1 for 22 yards and one TD and rushing for two touchdowns.
Defensively, Marvin Ridge was lights out limiting Monroe to just seven points and 80 yards in the air.
Junior linebacker Will Smith who leads the team in total tackles for the season did so against Monroe notching 10 more tackles and causing a fumble.
