It's the 3AA West Regional Final tonight between #1 Weddington (14-0) versus #2 Watauga (13-1).
It's a rematch of last year's 3rd round playoff game that saw Weddington dominate on the road defeating Watauga, 42-14.
A Warriors' win this evening would send the team back to their second consecutive state championship game to defend their 3AA title.
It's hard to believe that Watauga will provide much of an obstacle tonight. They do come in with the highest offensive output that Weddington has faced all season, but Watauga's defense is giving up 20 points per game against a strength of schedule ranking of 58. Weddington's strength of schedule is 17.
Of course, anything can happen, and that's why they play the game, but here's some additional information below that makes for great talk around that watercooler.
