Forest Hills returns to 2A Finals!

Forest Hills returns to the state championship after their defeat of East Lincoln, 71-62 in the 2A West regional final. 

Nas Tyson, the senior guard, led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with 17 and in the process became Union County’s all-time leading scorer with 2,148 points. 

Among the other leading scorers for Forest Hills was seniors Jai Rorie and Trey Belin each scoring 15 points. 

A key to the Jackets’ victory was not allowing East Lincoln second shots, outrebounding the Mustangs, 35-to-25.

Sophomore Jamylan Blakeney led the with a game-high 12 rebounds.

Forest Hills (29-2) will now play Farmville Central (31-0) at 7:30 at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State on Saturday, March 16,
