Although the Panthers have opened up their offense a bit more this season, it’s hard not to get the ball into the hands of one of the best running backs in the county, Matt Price.
Price, a senior, led all rushers with 142 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown.
A Piedmont Panther back opening eyes was sophomore Conner Purser who scored twice on 98 yards and 15 carries.
Forest Hills looking to ride the momentum from their home win against Central Pageland had two leads but surrendered them to a Panther squad that dominated the ball on offense. Piedmont ran 67 plays on offense compared to the 42 run by Forest Hills.
The Yellow Jackets’ Jaleel McLaughlin led the team in rushing carrying the ball 12 times for 95 yards and one touchdown.
Another Jacket to watch over time is their leading wide receiver, sophomore, Keeshawn Tyson. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wideout caught three balls for 51 yards including a 14-yard TD reception.
